Preheat oven to 350 F

Spray or lightly grease 9 x 13 pan

  • 1 box M&J's Granola Bites baking mix
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup honey (or Karo syrup)
Add an extra 1/2 cup rolled oats to M&Js Granola Bite mix and blend well. Add melted butter/honey to mixture and blend until moist and uniform (using clean hands to ensure mixture is fully blended) add an extra 1-2 tbsp water as necessary. With clean hands press mixture gently into 9x13 pan, the layer will be thin (to make it easier, moisten hands with water).

For Chewy Granola bars: Bake for 15-17 min. Let cool for 5 min and cut into bars while still warm (for easy cutting), then let cool completely before removing from pan.

For Crunchy Granola bars: Bake for 15-17 min. Let cool for 5 min and cut into bars, carefully place the warm bars on a cookie sheet and place back in the oven (at 350) for another 5-8 min (until darker brown). Bars will still be soft out of the oven, but once they are cooled will be nice and crunchy!

Blend into Granola Bite Mix until moist and uniform. With clean hands press mixture gently into 9x13 pan, the layer will be thin (to make it easier, moisten hands with water).
